    The first private ambulance service in DuPage County, IL, Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. was named after the service level its founders intended to provide all patients. Fifty years later, Superior has grown to offer patients and municipalities many services within the EMS industry. Superior offers ground and air transport for a vast variety of patient needs, including but not limited to Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, Critical Care Transport and Bariatric Transport.

Special Events

Superior is currently the EMS provider to more than 500 events each year.

Sporting events include Northwestern University Football, Chicago Cubs Baseball, White Sox Baseball, Chicago Bears Football, Chicago Blackhawks Hockey and Chicago Bulls Basketball.  In addition, Superior provides EMS service to other special events, such as charitable walks supporting breast cancer research and the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.


In addition to sending ambulances to assist with Hurricane Katrina emergency relief, Superior deployed more than 30 fully equipped ambulances to assist with evacuations in advance of Hurricanes Gustav and Ike.  Superior was recently recognized by the DuPage County Board through presentation of a Resolution of Commendation for its service to the victims of 2008 hurricanes.
