Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc.’s Communication Center is located at the company headquarters in Elmhurst, Illinois.  The Center is staffed twenty-four hours a day by licensed Emergency Medical Dispatchers and Certified Flight Coordinators.  The Superior Communication Center fields approximately 2,700 calls per day, and Superior dispatchers coordinate the transfer of nearly 1,000 patients daily.

The Communication Center currently has multiple dispatching consoles for ambulance and wheelchair van dispatch, call-taking consoles, and a flight desk for the Air Med 1 flight coordinators.  The Center also features a training room, a quality assurance office for private QA reviews, and a conference room.  Two back-up generators and a secured secondary dispatch center ensure uninterrupted service to our customers.

Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. is proud to have state-of-the-art equipment and facilities enabling delivery of prompt and efficient service to our customers.  Our computer-aided dispatch system, Zoll Data Systems RightCAD, helps streamline call-taking and dispatch procedures.  This system also incorporates a GPS mapping and tracking system.  The newest addition to the RightCAD system, DispatchPRO, has taken the Superior Communication Center to the next level of performance.  DispatchPRO assists the dispatchers in closest vehicle selection, automated routing and turn-by-turn directions, and features a deployment planner, which provides real-time situational awareness of the entire Superior fleet.  The Center also proudly incorporates satellite tracking, advanced weather monitors, and Cisco VoIP phone systems.
