Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. and its affiliates (Illinois Medi-Car, Inc.; Metro Paramedic Services, Inc.; Norcomm Public Safety Communications, Inc.; Air Med 1; and Paramedic Billing Services, Inc.) are headquartered in Elmhurst, Illinois with multiple locations in Illinois and Indiana.  Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service of Michigan, Inc. is headquartered and has several locations in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Since 1959, Superior has grown to be the largest independent, locally-owned and operated emergency medical services provider in the greater Chicagoland area.  The Superior companies employ more than 1600 individuals, including more than 1000 licensed EMS personnel, and operate a fleet of more than 200 ambulances.  A second-generation, family-owned and operated business, Superior integrates family values into its daily operations and corporate vision.

Superior has created a foundation of success that has led to partnerships with more than 100 renowned healthcare institutions in the Chicagoland area (25 throughout DuPage County), as well as in Northwest Indiana and Southeast Michigan.
