    The first private ambulance service in DuPage County, IL, Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Inc. was named after the service level its founders intended to provide all patients.   Fifty years later, Superior has grown to offer patients and municipalities many services within the EMS industry.  Superior offers ground and air transport for a vast variety of patient needs, including but not limited to Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, Critical Care Transport and Bariatric Transport.

Career Opportunities

Superior Ambulance Service strives to recruit and retain only individuals that meet our high standards. Applicants are put through a thorough screening process. Many positions require pre-employment testing. After a successful interview and a conditional job offer, criminal, sexual offender, and Medicare/Medicaid fraud background checks are completed. The candidate must also undergo a pre-employment drug screen and a physical, if appropriate. Orientation includes, but is not limited to, the review of excellence in customer service, proper moving and lifting techniques, defensive and emergency driving skills, map reading and navigation, medical documentation skills, and OSHA blood borne pathogens. Competencies are confirmed by a return demonstration to the instructors before working in the field.

Metro Paramedic Services, Inc., a subsidiary of Superior Air-Ground Ambulance, Inc., contracts with municipalities to provide emergency medical services and/or fire services.  We are currently seeking a Firefighter II/Medic at our Bourbonnais location.
