Superior's state-of-the-art communication center is staffed 24 hours a day by paramedics and / or EMT-B's certified as emergency medical dispatchers by the state of Illinois. Our computerized dispatch system enables us to deliver prompt and efficient service to our customers. We maintain five separate radio systems in order to insure constant communications with our vehicles.
Our computer-aided dispatch system has a mapping program, which enables us to track our vehicles over the Chicagoland area. We are able to locate the closest available unit to dispatch and provide prompt and accurate response times, "When Time and Performance Count."
Every Superior vehicle is equipped with an Automatic Vehicle Locator (A.V.L.). This A.V.L. system is computer based and allows us to accurately track our vehicles location and status.
The vehicle transmits a status indication unique to the activity the vehicle is engaged in. Six indications of vehicle availability, "responding," "on scene," "leaving scene," "destination," "clear," and "emergency" allows us to utilize our fleet its fullest potential. Nine separate indications give both the location and status of the vehicle, direction, speed of travel and can give distance to / from locations in order to point out the closest available vehicle to any location.
Superior also maintains direct radio contact with state and local police and fire agencies to provide and coordinated response when needed. A recent addition to the dispatch center is our 24-hour Lifeline System for one button response. Lifeline units are currently installed in nursing homes and private residences.

Norcomm Public Safety Communications, Inc. was the first private company to enter into the E911 communication service for municipal departments and fire protection districts. Our company has over twenty-five years of experience in emergency communications.
